Your business type/category (e.g. photographer, hospital, etc.):
URL(s) if applicable:
My listing saying-We currently do not support the location

http://local.google.co.in/maps/place?hl=en&georestrict=input_srcid:87bbf7f5a39602e6

If a listing isn’t showing because of a violation, say so. If it is clear how the user can fix it, tell them explicitly. If they are being suspended from the index for a given time,indicate how long.

Is it really so hard to provide specific, meaningful messages to various error and/or punishment states? Can’t the error say exactly what went wrong, what needs to be done to fix it and which help page has more details

kindly help to trace right problem and so that i re open our listings

@starmindsolutions

While I like being quoted, I don't like being plagiarized. You took my comments verbatim from my post: GoogleSpeak – “We currently do not support the location” = Banished?... not good form!

@Kaajal
Running starmindsolutions back into the very same posting of Google's that I criticized seems like a very cruel joke. If you are not going to offer anything better than the post that I so criticized, then tell him that straight up. Don't run him into an infinite loop of minimal information and bad error messages.....not good form!

I AM STILL TOTALLY CONFUSED! MY CLIENT'S LISTING STILL IS A "NO SHOW"!
No Email from "support", No Answer, No Reply from Google, No Clue! Been waiting 1 week and may decide to just move on and forget about it altogether. Client wants to pay for Ad Boost. I still have no idea what link is the real link since all give the same message.

@CCCSFL

We cannot see your Places entry otherwise spammers would have a field day!

I wish google would change the post form banner to ask for Business Name/Title, Address, Phone No, Categories, Description and Additional Details fields to be cut and pasted first EVERY post as this would save time for us unpaid and disregarded volunteers. Indeed gogole could have a LITTLE bit of code to do that which will save us all time.

Also to point out that the ONLY URLs of use are for Google search results listings, which are public.  If you have merge issues can you show the other businesses home page URL as well.

URL's of your web site are OF NO USE in a google Places forum. (Well little)

The message seems to be another possible 'Quiet purgatory' (To quote Mike) as it seems to happen for various listings which have 'rejected' issues.  Possibly bits of code are running out of context. google knows.

My listing is getting the same error message.  I have checked the quality guidelines and I meet all of them.  Also, I have read all the links the Google employees have have posted to other postings.  None of them really answer the question.  Is there anything AT ALL that I can do?  I do not understand why there is no set answer.

@acofcentralvalley: the only thing that could help is if you make some minor changes on your place page (but do not change the name, address or phone number) and then pray.

If the praying does not work then the only other solution is to nuke your listing and start again in another account.

Have you made sure that offline and upstream data signals that google is using reflect the existence of your business?

@Aco
Google uses "signals" from across the internet to be sure that a business is legit. If a business is new or has recently moved and changed phone numbers Google doesn't "see" signals that indicate that the business exists.

To increase trust and rank with Google be sure that you have a legally filed DBA for your name and that you use that name on your domain registration and phone listing.

File your business with the primary data suppliers in the country in which you live. In the US that is Localeze, InfoUsa & Axciom (via UBL.org). Claim a listing with the primary "information" sites like Yahoo Local, Bing Local, Superpages, YellowBot, Yelp, Merchant Circle, Manta, HotFront etc. These all take 6-8 weeks to take affect.

Encourage some of your customers to leave reviews at the above sites.

Google will recognize these signals for both trust and rank and is more likely to allow your listing into the index.

@iphone repair

Try the work around mentioned below.

If that tactic doesn't work (immediately as in 5 minutes), report the situation in the forum post below where we are consolidating cases for Google to look at as it appears to be affecting a growing number of businesses
